SMALL TO MEDIUM DIAMOND SIZE
The D41 is typically set with 4 to 12 stone-per-carat natural diamonds for drilling hard, dense formations with high compressive strengh and moderate abrasives. It can be used in both motor or rotary applications.

CROWN PROFILE
The §B§ profile maximizes diamond concentration across the nose to ensure even diamond wear. Transition zones across the face of the bit are reduced, preventing excessive point loading, minimum cutter breakage and better performance in hard, abrasive formations.

FEEDER/COLLECTOR HYDRAULICS
The D4 is designed with cross pad flow for maximum cooling of the diamonds. Fluid is drawn across diamond pads from high pressure feeders into the low pressure collectors. This configuration allows greater diamond density across the nose to improve bit life.
